The SIGN team has been very active on many aspects of our projects and with the upcoming release of SIGN Art V0.9.9, it is time for another progress update.

The V0.9.9 update focuses on the ease of token acquisition for new users and therefore added the following

Direct Token Swap: WAVES, USDN, SIGN & ETH

Up to V.9.8, only one swapping option was available, SIGN <-> USDN. But with the implementation of crosschain gateways into SIGN Art, we decided to add more options: Waves <-> USDN and ETH <-> USDN.

It allows anyone to swap any of the 4 tokens instantly using swop.fi dApps directly within SIGN Art.

WAVES NETWORK Wallet

Before V0.9.9, users had the option to transfer any of their SIGN Art NFTs, but to transfer tokens such as SIGN, WAVES or USDN they needed to use waves.exchange or any other wallet.

In order to make things more convenient and have everything happening within SIGN Art we added a new wallet feature.

Anyone can now transfer their WAVES, SIGN, USDN or ETH within the Waves network from within SIGN Art.

CROSSCHAIN Deposit/ Withdraw with METAMASK

The most important feature of this release is the implementation of the deposit/withdraw of ETH from the Ethereum network using Metamask.

Onboarding users from other blockchains has always been a huge challenge. Giving the option to deposit ETH with Metamask, directly from within SIGN Art will be a big step forward.

Once the deposit is confirmed, users will have the option to swap the ETH for USDN, which can be swapped back and forth to SIGN or Waves.

The crosschain gateway option is also ready for BSC and Polygon. Currently, the following are implemented:

  • From/To Ethereum Network: Waves, USDN and ETH
  • From/To Binance Smart Chain: USDN
  • From/To Polygon Network: USDN

More options will be supported in the future.

All gateways are managed by waves.exchange and you can see your withdraw/deposit history or status directly in waves.exchange after processing it in SIGN Art.

With these 3 features, we believe the onboarding gets easier, especially combined with the very convenient Waves Signer Email accounts that allow anyone to create a Waves account, in SIGN Art, using the common Email/pass credentials without the need for a complicated seed or private key.

The next step to complete the ease of acquisition will be the option to buy SIGN with Fiat directly in SIGN Art. The team is currently exploring several options on this matter.

WHATS NEXT ON SIGN Art?

We are currently working on the improvement of our secondary market. The most important part is the local caching of the dApp data which is already being tested on the mainnet.

From there, we will develop our secondary market API which will allow us to add:

  • Faster loading and pagination
  • Search and filtering
  • Sales and offers history

We will also implement the Offer (auction) system on the secondary market and later on, we will implement several stats widgets such as: Last offers, Last sales, Top sellers etc.

We also initiated the development of the long requested Collection feature that will allow artists to group their works into collections. This feature will be off chain, for more convenience, and retro active, meaning artists will be able to create collection, add / remove works in it, either if it’s newly dropped or old.

This feature is estimated for release early February 2022.

Improvement for 2022 on our 3D room is also considered, such as VR support, Artist listings and circulation from one room to another etc.

HOW ABOUT SIGN WEB?

Even if the focus was essentially on SIGN Art this year, we didn’t leave our other product, sign-web.app aside.

This year, accountancy firm Moore Cayman, which specializes in providing audit services to investment funds and the digital asset industry, including nearly 200 cryptocurrency-focused funds, has launched its verification service for its audit clients using sign-web.app to certify their audit reports.

During the last Web Summit in November, our COO, Michael, met 8 representatives of VC and Investments firms which did lead to very interesting exchanges, contacts and feedback regarding investing in our projects.

From there, a lot of interest was actually shown for sign-web.app and its certification feature, especially with our new White Label option for Certification.

Speaking about the White Label option, two of these are already in production and in testing period, one of these clients already signed contracts with its own client, mostly in the Medical Field, which will bring thousands of monthly certifications.

More of these White Labels will be added in the future once the testing period is completed.

How do these White Label Certifications work?

Clients get their own version for sign-web.app and their custom token (or in USDN if they prefer a stable option), they have their own dedicated dApp deployed and managed by the SIGN team and their users can certify anything using the client custom token.

How does it benefit SIGN?

It’s pretty simple, the White Label owner has to load its dApp with Certification credits in order to allow their users to certify documents using the White Label owner token.

To acquire these certification credits, the White Label owner has to deposit SIGN to the dApp, these SIGNs are converted into credits based on the price of SIGN at the deposit time and then the SIGN is transferred to us. The White Label owner on its side decides the certification price in its custom token for its clients and every time a client certifies, a credit is deducted.

Early 2022 we will work on several improvements for sign-web.app including the caching of all certification data from our dApps to a local database and with this, the development of an API that is requested by most of our potential clients.

CONCLUSION

SIGN Art has been doing very good progress in terms of development and needs to keep working on its adoption, being on a non ETH alt chain isn’t an easy task for adoption but we do believe in our tech choices and have no doubt that traction will come. We estimate the platform to be completed by early 2022 from where the main focus will be on adoption and marketing.

We are currently testing our ambassadors program and had quite some good results with our Russian and Italian communities. We have several plans to work on the growing of our userbase but we will only share them once they are already in place in order to avoid “Front Running”.

Our ambassador program is still open, if you think you can bring talented artists to the platform or contribute to promote it, don’t hesitate to reach out to discuss it. We are always open to it.

SIGN Web App will improve over the first half of 2022 and focus also on its adoption, mainly with the White Label that did already show a real demand during our testing phase.
